Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon - Upload Manager ... Won't Send

Hi all,

I'm thinking that resolution of my issue is on this is going to be easy and that people are going to tell me some obvious thing I'm doing wrong ...

I'm using Linux Mint 13 Cinnamon. Love, love, love it.

I have "Upload Manager" installed and configured to send files to my FTP site. It connects perfectly. When I click the "Check connection" button in the upload manager properties box, it does immediately connect to my FTP server and successfully send the "mintupload.readme" test file.

It all works.

BUT ...

When I actually try to use the program by clicking the icon in the system tray, which opens the little gray box that says, "Drag & Drop here to upload" ... It doesn't work.

When I drag a .jpg (or any other file type) to that box, a pop-up box open that says, "0% of 1 file - Uploading to ..."

But, nothing actually goes anywhere.

The file does not get sent.

Is there something I should be doing to "make it go"?

awesome. .exactly the same problem i am just seeing.

It has to do with placing spaces in the name of the files.. change the name to be a one continuous word and it will work.

I am looking for help on it to see if that is by design and the expectation is for users not to name their files with "weird" characters.

I was using Filezilla, but that piece of SW freezes the computer (in windows, and in Mint!) when uploading a lot of files.

and you cannot upload folders.. so i guess all of these are limitations of the SW. I think it was meant to be an "easy" way for a user to send files when that user did not have any idea what an FTP was.
