Icon view defaults

Is there any way to get bigger thumbnails of image files in Nemo's icon view without also affecting the size of desktop icons? In Nemo preferences, if I increase the Icon View Default above 100%, this increases the size of the desktop icons. At 100% the thumbnails of image files in Nemo in icon view are too small to be useful. At 200%, they're much more useful, but then I also have huge desktop icons, which I don't want. I'm running Mint 14 amd64 with all current patches. Nemo is v1.1.2.
