Google Chrome asking for password

This happens on Mint only. So I installed Chrome and after my login it asked my password. I couldn't wait to ask here so I type it anyway.

Could this be harmful?

Is it wanting the Gnome keyring password, which is under security settings
--and if you are syncing accounts with Google (Chrome website..)
