Yes I was trying drag and drop, but I think cut/paste would probably work better. I also was able to locate and restore my Tomboy files from .local/share and restore them by copy/paste and merging the files so I think your plan willl work. I willl be out all day today so I will try when I get back this evening. and let you know how it went. And Also mark this Solved. Thanks again.
