Hi all,
I run Mint 14 on a HTPC, which every once in a while I reboot while sitting in the office. At that point, MDM/Xorg fails to come up because my receiver isn't switched on, and XOrg can't detect the type of display. Previously I used to have plain Ubuntu on this box, and I had set up some file in GDM to run an nvidia-settings command to load an EDID file that I had saved previously with nvidia-settings.
What is the recommended way to do this in Mint/MDM? Use an MDM start-up script somewhere (and if so which), or hack xorg.conf? (I've seen in places that it's possible to make xorg load the EDID file somehow).
Rgds, Maarten
