Added Panel Not Working Correctly?

Hey... I just installed Mint 14 KDE and liking it on my HP Slimline Pavillion e5220i though I added a new panel to the top of my screen to hold all of the applications I use regularly. So, I set it all up and set the pref to auto-hide, but it will only auto-hide when it feels like it. It randomly stays open, like when I have firefox running and it won't hide for anything! What can I do to get this panel to always hide when I'm not cursoring over it?

Any help will be appreciated!
