Hi,

I need the “gvfs” 1.15.2-0ubuntu3 source package that is available at http://ppa.launchpad.net/langdalepl/gvfs-mtp/ubuntu but not for Nadia. Can I use the Quantal repository instead?

Thanks in advance

Yes is the short answer. The vast majority of MInt comes from Ubuntu repos anyway so I don't know why gvfs should be different. In fact it isn't:

apt-cache policy gvfs
gvfs:
Installed: 1.14.0-0ubuntu6
Candidate: 1.14.0-0ubuntu6
Version table:
*** 1.14.0-0ubuntu6 0
500 http://archive.ubuntu.com/ubuntu/ quantal/main amd64 Packages
100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

if the source package listed in that ppa is listed for quantal is also 100% compatible with nadia: so if you need that more up-to-date pkg just add the ppa.

EDIT
but in the link you provide above there's no 1.15.2 in any of the ubuntu releases (as far i can see at the time of writing)
http://ppa.launchpad.net/langdalepl/gvf ... s/?C=M;O=D
you do have it here (but is only for raring) >> https://launchpad.net/ubuntu/+source/gvfs

or then in this ppa (Andrei backported it from raring to quantal: the reports are good but use it at your own risk)
