replacing network manager on kde

i'm using Linux Mint 14 KDE and would like to replace the network manager
is it possible to replace network manager with wicd? or another
if yes how can i do so

Don't know as the default with kde works for me.
But a google search gives many links about doing it.

i switched and broke it so i put back the kde network manager

i think i'll stick with it for now
