Second user avatar not shown on login screen

Post by agritux »

After installation of mint 14 cinnamon, i created a secondary standart user. I set a password and choose an avatar for it.
I can see the avatar in the user account settings. But i cannot see it in login screen. Avatar section is empty.
Also i tried to copy it to user's home dir with the name ".face"
but it didnt worked too.

what can i do?
is it a bug? or i am making stg wrong?
thnx

Hmmm does the user name appear in security tab too? If you add the user in users tab their name should be in the security tab as well.

where can i check it?

if you are talking about user groups,
i type this commands:

1st it is the admin account:

Code: Select all

user1@agritux ~ $ id -G -n user1
user1 adm cdrom sudo dip plugdev lpadmin sambashare bumblebee
2nd it is standart user:

Code: Select all

user1@agritux ~ $ id -G -n user2
user2 bumblebee

I was talking about in login windows Gui (Menu>Administration>Log In>)there's a security tab. In the users tab there's note:
Users in the include list will appear in the face browser if enabled and will appear in user drop down lists for automatic and timed logouts on the Security tab.......MinimalUID setting in the Security tab will affect which users will be allowed to join the include list
