Padlock at bottom of screen is 'Broken' all the time! SOLVED

I have a problem with the padlock it is showing as broken.
When the 'pewter loads it flashes so I click on it which asks for password then brings normal box up that then shows no updates for me!
The padlock then stays broken, I still have internet though.
Running Daryna here.
Was not doing anything special when it happened just noticed it.
I think I may have posted elsewhere but cannot find it--tried search and looked manually so apologies to everyone if I have!!!
Cheers.
Kevin.
EDIT: Just loaded the mint cd and copied the /etc/apt/sources.list from there to the hard disc and all seems to be sorted out now.
So I imagine that this was corrupted somehow?
Also in /etc/apt/sources.list.d there is a file called blueman.list that the cd doesn't have so I removed this as well.
Seems that the 'pewter was trying to update something to do with bluetooth and it must have fallen over and left this file?
Probably should have have done this before posting so sorry about that.
Anyway just to let you know all sorted.
