Grub Vs Burg which is better?

I have installed burg and Super Boot Manager on Linux Mint 14 and the first thing I noticed, after installing Burg themes, is the faster loading of plymouth splash screen and the amazing Burg Menu. But what I wanna know is:
1- What's the difference between grub and burg?
2- Is it safe to use burg instead of grub?
3- How to change Burg themes with Super Boot Manager?
