Can't burn CDs with Brasero, K3b, or XftBurn

Post by jcgallaher »

I'm having problems with trying to get Brasero, K3B, and XftBurn to work.

Brasero fails to burn due to SCSI error on write(560,16):[521 02] invalid address or stalls on checksum when data Checksums and ISO checksums are unchecked.

K3B fails due to CD record has no permission to open the device. When I provide permissions, CDRecord error 254 appears.

XftBurn just fails completely. I don't have any detailed report to give for XftBurn

I've looked into advice on how to fix these issues through the forums and Google searching, but I can't find a workable solution.

Brasero failed, OK, it is anyway; but Xfburn (better than brasero)?, and K3b, the best burning application?

It seems corrupt iso image.

Did you check md5sum of downloaded iso image?

I'm not a hundred percent positive if I checked that ISO. Unfortunately I don't have the downloaded file to cross check since I burned it on to disk and deleted it later on. However, I didn't experience any other issues with Mint.
