JQuery slideshow glitch with LM Maya and Firefox

I'm running Linux Mint Maya and I have a glitch with Firefox on a jQuery slide show that I wrote. After each dissolve, the previous slide flashes very briefly on the screen. Slide show runs fine with LM and Chrome. Runs fine on a PC. Runs fine on a Mac.

Slide show can be seen at www.kayanphoto.com. Slide show is called crossfadePro.

Any suggestions for fixing this glitch?
