Hi I am new to linux and am trying to install Opencobol, but when I issue the ./config I get this
al@al-desktop ~/opencobol/open-cobol-1.1/bin $ ./config
bash: ./config: No such file or directory
when I look it up in the manual I get
l@al-desktop ~/opencobol/open-cobol-1.1/bin $ man ./config
man: ./config: No such file or directory
No manual entry for ./config
can someone please help

Anyway, you are going the Windows way around this. I suggest you read my how to install software on Linux Mint post to understand how you install software on Linux Mint. The OpenCOBOL compiler you can easily install from the Software Manager, the package is called open-cobol. Probably the OpenCOBOL wiki will be instrumental in finding your away around http://www.opencobol.org/modules/bwiki/
