Does anyone know how to hook up a Wii remote with bluetooth?

Postby Jessey Lawson on Sat Mar 02, 2013 4:56 am

Ok so I am running Linux Mint 14 cinnamon 64-bit. I wanted to use my Nintendo Wii remote as a wireless mouse. The problem is I tried using Wiican from the website getdeb.net and I can't get it to work. I installed gpodder, blueman, blueproximity, gnome-bluetooth, bluewho, libgnome-bluetooth-dev, python-obexftp, remuco-base, remuco-amarok, remuco-tvtime, anyremote, amora-server, bluedevil, bluemon, bluez, bluez-cups, bluez-tools, ganyremote, kanyremote, kbluetooth, obexpushd, and I still can't get it to work. I only get a bluetooth smyble on my app bar that says no adapters found. What does that mean? I don't know what other programs I need. Does anyone else have any Ideas on how to get Wiican working?

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.
