Panel disappeares when using teamviewer 8

Hi all,

I am using Linux Mint 13 32 bit MATE-edition with a two-monitor setup. On one screen I work locally, and on the other screen I have a remote connection using Teamviewer.

Very often when I start teamviewer (full screen) my standard panel disappears. I assume this has something to do with the gnome2/mate vs teamviewer. When I rightclick at the position of where the panel should be I can get in the menu, and after switching on autohide the panel will appear again.

Does anyone have any tips on how to prevent the disappearing panel? Perhaps I should better address this at the teamviewer support
