GMDesk on LinuxMint Maya

Hi.

I came across GMDesk which allows you to run Google web applications as desktop apps using Adobe AIR. When I try to fire up GMail in "standard" mode it fails to fully initialise and I have to switch to "basic HTML" mode. I had the same problem on my wife's Windows (Vista) PC - but fixed it by upgrading to the latest version of Adobe AIR - but AIR is no longer offically supported on Linux so that is not an option for me. So - does anyone else use GMDesk and, if so, do they have the same problem?
