XChat connection problem

I'm running Linux Mint 14 64-bit Cinnamon and cannot seem to connect to XChat. It just displays the following, over and over:

Code: Select all

Looking up irc.spotchat.org
Connecting to irc.spotchat.org (109.234.106.53) port 6667...
Connected. Now logging in...
*** Looking up your hostname...
*** Found your hostname (c-69-254-220-72.hsd1.al.comcast.net) -- cached
Closing link: (travis@c-69-254-220-72.hsd1.al.comcast.net) [Unauthorized connection: <connect> block unnamed-6]
Disconnected (Remote host closed socket).
Cycling to next server in Linux Mint Server...
And sometimes, this:

Code: Select all

Looking up irc.spotchat.org
Connecting to irc.spotchat.org (109.234.106.53) port 6667...
Connected. Now logging in...
*** Looking up your hostname...
*** Found your hostname (c-69-254-220-72.hsd1.al.comcast.net) -- cached
Closing link: (travis@c-69-254-220-72.hsd1.al.comcast.net) [Throttled]
Disconnected (Remote host closed socket).

The answer is right there...

Code: Select all

Remote host closed socket
The remote host doesn't want to talk to you.

Heh, I suppose that should have been obvious to me. Can it be fixed?

Actually, I suspect it's got everything to do with your ISP, comcast. You should probably ask them.
