Super crash of Doom!

Postby vandalheart on Sun Mar 24, 2013 6:00 am

Not sure if I'm posting in the right place, but here goes!

My problem isn't with cinnamon, but with MDM. Standard with mint Maya 32bit. At startup, when it tries to load the DM it says something about MDM not being the default desktop manager and saned would not start. Not sure what saned is, still researching. Anyway.

I had replaced MDM with lightdm, as MDM was quite tedious. By runner ng

sudo mdm -all

In TTY1 I was able to bring up MDM and access my Mint as normal.

I had used sudo dpkg-reconfigure to set lightdm as the default, and it worked for a little while.

I try again to change back to MDM, but it spits out

*scheduling reload of MDM Display Manager configuration MDM [OK]
Debconf: dB driver "config": could not write /var/cache/debconf/config.dat-new: no space left on device

Its a fresh install on a 100gb partition. confused?

After I tried to boot into windows( not sure this has anything to do with it)) this occurer.

I noticed something about virtualbox, can someone else explain this to me? Is mint running in VB? Why?

Thanks in advance, any help will be great
