Compiz with 3 screens (nvidia) not working.

Postby espen on Sat May 31, 2008 7:54 pm

I'm trying to get compiz to work with my 3 screen setup, but I keep getting the following error:

Code: Select all
Checking for Xgl: not present.
Detected PCI ID for VGA: 01:00.0 0300: 10de:00fd (rev a2) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
04:00.0 0300: 10de:0091 (rev a1) (prog-if 00 [VGA controller])
Checking for texture_from_pixmap: present.
Checking for non power of two support: present.
Checking for Composite extension: not present.
aborting and using fallback: /usr/bin/metacity

Two of the monitors are connected to a GeForce 7800 GTX card, and one is connected to a Quadro NVS 280.
I'm currently running Linux Mint 5 beta-048.

Here is my xorg.conf file:

Code: Select all

# nvidia-settings:  version 1.0  (buildd@vernadsky)  Tue Mar  4 20:24:34 UTC 2008

I don't recall anyone with three screens before.
I have no idea, but I will make a note of this post
