my desktop downgrades theme randomly? (SCREENSHOT)

Hey guys,
I think I'm using linux mint 14, can't recall if it's cinnamon or mate.
Anyway, occasionally when my computer isn't being used, the theme/look of everything (icons, folder view (Nemo) dramatically changes.) It's not impairing my productivity, but it is strange.
Not a big deal, if I reboot it's gone. But anyone know why this is happening on a mostly stock mint? I'm using dual monitors sometime via HDMI.
