Hi,
so I have this weird problem with dosbox, aranym and hatari. I suspect it's SDL related because I just tested a few SDL games with the same issue. What happens is that the screen goes blank for a short time and rather periodically about every three seconds. Any ideas how to resolve this? The emulators run happily under Windows XP on the same machine.

Ah, well.
After some further investigations I realized that I ran the X server with the vesa driver. That driver seems to have caused the flickering.
The reason the vesa driver was there in the first place is that the SiS driver I need to use is buggy and segfaults. But fortunately a workaround exists. So now the blanking screen appears to have gone.
