Microsoft compatable software in Wine

Can Nuance Dragon Naturaly Speaking run sucessfuly in Wine ?

Can Dragon run in Libre Office?

I believe via utube that an early version of dragon can indeed run but not sure about the latest 12 will/wont

Thankyou for your response in advance from Newbie who wants to blow Windows 8 off my laptop.

IMO you should boot through a live CD/DVD/USB (ie. burn mint onto a medium and boot through it) and give it a go. It won't be as fast as an actual install, but you'll be able to see for yourself what works and what doesn't.
In regards to wine versioning (since the results on WineHQ vary from version to version), look at giving playonlinux a try.
