Which distro shouls I use?

I have received a Sony Vaio PCV-RX463DS with a 40 gig HD and 128 meg memory. It won't run Ubunto or Mint. Wondering what would be the best distro. I would upgrade the memory, but like some Dell models, it is using RD ram. Very expensive and rare.

While I have not tried it, I was reading about SAM Linux recently.
http://distrowatch.com/table.php?distribution=sam I think you will be OK with an Xfce desktop since it is very similar to GNOME. You may wish to also search for light-weight distros. Good luck and have fun.

I hear Puppy Linux is really light weight.
