Adobe Flash Player

Postby sammi.sammi on Wed Jun 18, 2008 9:06 am

Hi, I've got FF3 and I tried to install Flash Player the same way I have been doing it since it came out. Problem is, it's not recognising it in Firefox.

The steps I took were:

untar it
run it
saved to /usr/lib/firefox

I can't work out what's wrong!

Any help greatly appreciated!

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I am not sure about your install, but Flash already comes all bundled up nice and neat with Firefox 3 on Mint 5. Everything simply works with no extra effort on my part. I am having much greater success with Flash and Firefox 3 versus Firefox 2.

Did you perform a clean-install of Mint 5 or one of those dist-upgrade procedures?
