kill application

Postby luckyplayer on Wed Jun 18, 2008 2:40 pm

I migrated from Xandros Linux to Elissa 5 this week. So far I like it, although I had a problem with playing my music until I rebooted and then everything worked well. One thing I miss though is the Kill application for programs that freeze up. It doesnt seem to be included. Could someone please tell me the program I need to download and install to get this functionality back. Thanks in advance.

There is a version for the GNOME panel called force quit. Right click on the panel and choose "Add to panel"--then choose "force quit" and it will add an icon to your panel.

Just click the icon then click the application that you want to kill.

Also there's ctrl+Alt+Esc, then click on the application you want to kill. Another one: open a terminal, type xkill and Enter, then click on the app you want to kill.
