Second Life on KDE

Hello. I just installed Mint 4 KDE and i love it so far. Just one thing. I want to install and run Second Life. I tried using the .deb from getdeb.net but the KDE package installer didn't seem ot hae much success installing it. How do i get it installed?
Linux Mint 7 “Gloria”
HP DV8000 Laptop
Broadcom 4318 wireless

Okay well i got it going but it's running super slow compared to gnome. is there anything can do fix that or is that just the way it is?
