can't update LM 13 [solved]

Mint 13 KDE

trying to update and 'update manager' says:

The repository may no longer be available or could not be contacted because of network problems. If available an older version of the failed index will be used. Otherwise the repository will be ignored. Check your network connection and ensure the repository address in the preferences is correct.

Some index files failed to download. They have been ignored, or old ones used instead.

Does anyone know how to fix this?

I have the same problem using Linux Mint 13 Maya 64 bit.
http://www.medibuntu.org/repository.php states "The Medibuntu Project has come to an end".

Before I remove "deb http://packages.medibuntu.org/ precise free non-free" from /etc/apt/sources.list , I am wondering what will that break? That line was put there to install software. So if we comment it out and/or remove it, won't that remove software? If so, how do we find out what software will be removed?

You can remove this repository from the Software Sources program (Other Software tab). This will just remove the repository, leaving the packages installed on your system from that repository untouched.

Pat,
Thank you for the update. I unselected the repository in my Software Sources.
