Questions about applications and software
You need to install lmsensors in synaptic, but thats as far as I know as I have never set them up.
Just checked and maybe they are not in the default repo's as I can't find them?

Here is a nice guide on installing lm-sensors on Ubuntu. tested it and it works on Elyssa, however, you can skip step 2
The package sensors-applet will give you a nice gnome-applet to monitor the sensors in the panel
