I have a dual boot- XP & Mint. I have Thunderbird on both.
I find that in XP it shows Mail, Calender, Tasks in the left pane.
In Mint it shows only Mail , Calender.
Is it OK or I have to do something more ????

You just have to change the layout. There aren't any differences between OS versions.

How do I do that?
In XP I did nothing.. it came as Mail-Calender- Tasks format.
In Mint as Mail - Calender only.

Thanks

Oops. When you click 'view' then 'layout' make sure that 'today pane' is checked. That will show your tasks. Hope this helps!

That's the same version I use (latest stable available) , and I have no trouble enabling tasks via that menu selection I showed you. Perhaps you need to resize your window? If that doesn't work try to uninstall it via synaptic package manager, then re-install it again. I really don't understand why it wouldn't work for you now.

I downloaded Lightning 0.8 & installed. Presto, the Task icon showed up in the low left corner.

Oh Bob
I am learning that the Forum is all about Learning together- growing together. I am really getting into the spirit of open source & the comeraderie. In fact despite dual boot , I hardly open my XP as all programs - hardware work beutifully in Mint.
Let us learn together ( See my logo :) )
