it was helpful, but not, it doesn't tell me how to record the game sounds instead of my line in (or mic if it was enabled) or how not to catch the recordmydesktop dialog box at the end of the video when I stop the recording of the game window

For this, make sure you've grabbed "pavucontrol" (Pulse Audio Volume Control) from the Software Manager, or Syaptic. Do a test recording- start recordmydesktop, and open pavucontrol. Go to the "Recording" tab and select "Monitor of Built In Analog Stereo" from the drop down.

This should fix the audio, in future recordings. If there are keyboard shotcuts for stopping or pausing recordmy desktop.. I'm not sure.

install pulse audio utility called pavucontrol using software manager
launch RecordMyDesktop and start recording
launch pulse mixer (pavucontrol)
in the recording tab choose "Monitor analog stereo of Internal Audio" intead of "analog stereo of Internal Audio"
if you don't want to record microphone, choose "Analog Stereo Output" profile in configuration tab
restart RecordMyDesktop -- it will now record game sounds not microphone

I haven't used his yet (never did full screen recording), but I found a list of keyboard shortcuts:
