Hallo,
I will ask, how is the decision made which package get which update level (3-5)
Because if i understand the system right i can make every update from level 1-3 without having problems.
But now i have made a new Live-System, with updated packages, and i didn't work right.
I found the bug in the 4 Packages from "ubiquity", THAT ARE LEVEL 3 .
With those updates the installation for the mint-livesystem broke!!
how is the decision made which package get which update leve

Ubiquity should not be installed - that's the installer...
Perhaps if you tried to make your own ISO....
Remove Ubiquity
Level 1 and 2 are "controlled by Mint"
Level 4 and 5 are things like a new kernel or changes to dbus and hal
Level 3 is the rest
It's Clem that manages this so I don't know the details, but as far as I understand the "dangerous" updates are marked 4 or 5 and the others left alone. There is no guarantee that a level 3 update is safe, but they should generally be OK
