I've reinstalled recently elisa media center, also included software repository, Installation of both official release in the repository (3.5) and the debian development release (5.9) won't start. The splash screen opens but the actual software won't start.
What can cause this situation? and how to make it start ?
I did not intend making a specialty media center, but to use my current main system as a partial media center when I have to work on my Windows system.
If I won't be able to start it up I'll have to put a 3rd system in my study. Please help.

Not at all sure it helps, but there is a chance it does
