I just upgraded to the Qiana (MATE), it went smoothly and seems like a nice release. One odd thing: previously, when I would highlight text in any window using the mouse, it would automatically be in the emacs kill ring of the emacs window I had running. So ctrl-Y would get it in at point, etc. Now there seems to be less communication between the window system and emacs -- that no longer works! It still is in the window system's buffer, so if I middle-click, it gets inserted into emacs (or any window) at the mouse location ... but it's as if I just typed it there, it is not in emacs's kill ring. Any idea how to fix this?
