I recently did some updates, though I'm not sure what, maybe someone knows where I can find a log of the last updates installed by apt? Anyway, I did some updates and am now experiencing some weird problems.

1. When I push the power button on my laptop, it shuts down immediately, where it use to display a menu with options to logoff, hybernate, etc.
2. On battery the little battery icon doesn't show in the tray, nor does it handle dimming properly anymore.

There are other issues, but I can't think of them right now.

I figured it out. The problem was with Dbus. Reinstalling it fixed the problem.
