I find somehow Lock icon is missing from panel. I have retarted, tried Add to panel, - mint update is not there
I tried thropugh control panel - mint update runs in its window but no blinking lock in panel
I like it to be next to my network icon blinking periodically, just to alert me on updates.
Pls help me find it back

I believe your Notification Area needs to be added back in. Right-click on the panel, choose Add to Panel, and add in the Notification Area. You may need to move it where you want it. Hopefully, this will fix your problem. Good luck.
