Anime Studio Pro

Postby redhubcap on Fri Oct 10, 2008 10:19 pm

Hello I am trying to install AnimeStudioPro, I have already extracted all the files, I am running the app from a shortcut on my desktop, Im at the point of entering my serial number, I have a valid one since I purchased the program.(linux version)

once entered I get the error message saying:

Your serial number could not be saved.
Be sure to run Anime Studio as an administrative user when entering your serial number.

I do not have a root account on the machine. should I login as su then run the program entering the serial, would that fix it.
The permissions are read and write to all groups.

AnimeStudio is an awesome animation program that outputs in several formats including the flash format.
it allows you to apply bones to 2d characters and animate them.

The program ran fine in suse. But i switched to mint so I could get all sorts of media files to play. Right out of the box all sorts of media files play in mint, and wireless works.

The only thing now Im going to try to sell my susebible, I wish there was a similar book on mint cause I would buy it.

Mint rocks! But please help me install this awesome animation program.

thanks

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

You should just be able to run the installer or just the installed app from a console with "su", and enter the serial number when prompted.

Got me wondering now.. If there's a Linux version of Manga Studio... Guess I'll have to go look!

okay finaly solved it here is based on my set up what got it to work

running as sudo did it

sudo /home/myuserid/Programs/AnimeStudio5/AnimeStudioPro/./AnimeStudioPro

I just had to type

sudo

followed by the exact path to the file that loads the program and finally putting ./ infront of the AnimeStudioPro file that runs the program

solved,

thanks for pointing me in the right direction
