How to remove Mintified Google search in Firefox?

Postby Oceanwatcher on Sun Oct 12, 2008 12:37 am

I have one annoyance. I do not like the Mintified Google search. I want my Google back!

If it had been 100% Google, I would have minded it at all. But as the search results are different, I do not want the Mint version.

Try searching for "Datahverdag" in both versions. There is a page that comes up in the Mint version that I know is removed in Google because I did it through the webmaster tools. This is a bot annoying and shows that the MInt version is not up to date, or that there is a bug in their system. Anyway - as I know about at least one difference, I do not trust it to deliver the same as the main pages. So I want the real stuff back in there...

If you mean the search in the top right corner then this site lets you add any number of different search engines:

I wish the site was more wildly known because it allows you to add basically any search engine from any website, even really niche sites.

Wow! That is an amazing site! I am a heavy user of internet and Firefox, but never heard about this site. Thank you!

I also write a column in a newspaper, and you just gave me the topic for the next column :-) Again - Thank you very much!
