LibreOffice - Menu header blank

Post by Rambozore »

Hello,

I just installed Linux Mint Mate 17 on my computer. However, I encountered an issue with LibreOffice: the menu header is all blank. If I move the window, the characters reappear, but when I move my mouse over the text of the menu, it becomes all blank again.

Similar issue 1: http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/1726 . I tried the solution (removing antialiasing in LO menu), but it's not working anyway...
Similar issue 2: https://bugs.launchpad.net/ubuntu/+sour ... ug/1182082
Similar issue 3: http://ubuntuforums.org/showthread.php?t=2147111
Similar issue 4: http://en.libreofficeforum.org/node/5993

I don't know what to do. I removed LibreOffice then reinstalled it, but still getting the same problem.

I changed my desktop theme to "Ambiance-Aqua" (http://www.ravefinity.com/p/download-am ... olors.html, but I had to download "ubuntu mono dark icons" since when I tried to install the theme, Mint asked me to install that), but when I come back to the classic theme, the problem is stil there.

I also changed the language of the system from french to english-US (if it matters).

Any solution?

Thanks,

Rambozore.

So, I've tried to record a video showing the issue. I opened LibreOffice: on my screen, all the headers were blank, but when I watch the recording, there isn't that problem! How can that happen?

I have a Nvidia GTX 765M GPU, maybe it has to do with that? I've done nothing to Mint (didn't install any driver).

Thank,

EDIT: I followed this tutorial for NVIDIA driver : http://forums.linuxmint.com/viewtopic.p ... lit=nvidia But nothing has changed.

EDIT 2: I've rebooted with the USB drive (Mint 17 Mate), without installing the OS again, but LibreOffice also has the same problem...

After trying Cinnamon (USB flashdrive), the issue wasn't there but Cinnamon was freezing all the time. Cinnamon was saying an error with some video driver which could cause high CPU usage (directly when booting!).

I reinstalled Mate. LibreOffice was still showing the same issue. I uninstalled LibreOffice and installed WPS instead. So far works very nicely. No problem.
