Schedule things - Gnome semi solved
Posted: Fri Nov 07, 2008 8:27 pm
I need to schedule my torrents to start at 2am and stop at 10am. (Gnome).
My ISP gives a very high allowance for downloading in that time but a limited amount outside that time. Right now my "peak allowance" disappears quite quickly and my "off peak" hardly gets used as i'm always asleep at those times.
I would either like a script or a GUI program that would let me control the situation. Probably something that launches Transmission at 2am and closes it at 10am. Or any other suggestions you have, thanks!

i'm now looking at this as an option
i will report back on my results, more ideas welcome

it doesn't work ... a test works, but it does not work at scheduled times..
