I am trying to load the following page in chrome, firefox*, and chromium.
In each case I get an error (picture attached), however if I launch ubuntu which I have installed on a virtual machine the page loads fine.
According to this on yahoo answers some file pertaining to the functioning of web browsers could be corrupt.
* sometimes the page loads in firefox, but most of the time this doesnt happen. Everything was loading fine until I ran a system update roughly a week ago, this may have damaged some files?

Re: Web Browser File Corrupt
Hello, LoveMintLinux.
Actually, it is the webpage address which looks fishy to me:
The https address https://libsta28.lib.cam.ac.uk:2048/ expects the URL of another webpage as its login parameter? Hm. Might be. Do not know.
Cannot connect to https://libsta28.lib.cam.ac.uk:2048/login either. But can connect to http://www.lib.cam.ac.uk/toolbox/rmt.html. Have not bothered to go through all the sub-pages in order to find out whether is a valid address for them.
I tend to assume the URL itself is the problem, much more than I will suspect that my system has just destroyed a browser file.
Cheers,
Karl
