computer logs off while downloading

When i leave my laptop downloading with the build in torrent client it logs off after a while and stops downloading. It just returns you to the log-in screen. My power save settings are just, shut monitor when no activity.

This is very weird, maybe its a bug?

maybe hardware power saving settings? Check bios...
