Hi,
I installed google earth via apt-get. When I zoom to a coast area for example, I have rectangular stains which only disappear when I zoom in very deep.
Prob no.2: The picture view doesn't work.
I use LM 17.1 64-bit.
Google Earth gives me:
Google Earth 7.1.2.2041
Build Date 10/7/2013
Build Time 12:34:45 pm
Renderer OpenGL11
Operating System Linux (3.18.2.0)
Any idea to circumvent this probs?

Re: Google-Earth in coarse colours and no pics
I had Google_earth working correctly on 64bit Mint 17.1. Then I discovered the same problems as you have. This was after I had installed DigiKam and Imagination. I also installed ffmpeg for Imagination to work. (Into this mess i also installed the latest version of Free Pascal which removed google-earth. I know, I should have checked what is was going to do!)
Do you have either of these applications installed?
