Strange flickering in Chromium

Post by Envite »

Hi all

I have a very strange and even more annoying flickering in Chromium.
My system is an ASUS laptop with an Intel GPU.

Does somebody have some idea about how to fix it?

Extra info: deinstalled (purged) and reinstalled, no help. Connected to this computer via ssh -X, remotely it did not flicker.

I have uploaded a video of this here: https://youtu.be/pGJptghyO2I

Code: Select all

Please generate an overview of your system like this:
- Launch a terminal window (this is how to launch a terminal window);
- make the terminal window full screen, to avoid chopped lines;
- copy/paste this command into the terminal:

Code: Select all

inxi -Fxz
(if you type: the letter F is a capital letter)

Press Enter.

Copy/paste the output in your next message.

Disable hardware acceleration in Chromium (it's in the advanced settings). Does that help?

At first I was not sure, but now I am. That does not help.

It is more like if Chromium were receiving input from nowhere. Sometimes tabs move, and sometimes zoom level change on its own.

Thanks.
