You want to run a proprietary Windows anti-virus application on Linux. Why? First off you don't need it to protect Linux, and in the second place it would really surprise me if it had any capabilities that would be of benefit to Linux anyway. After all it was written for Windows, even though they advertise that it will now run on *nix.

If you wish to run an anti-virus to help protect Windows systems on your network at least run something that might actually be helpful to you. ClamAV is in the repos and is open source software. At least it has been vetted to work and not break things. Also keep in mind that it takes a lot of memory and processing power to run anti-virus, so it will slow your system down to some degree, depending on how muscular your system is.
