I was reading through the update procedures, but I noticed that they only work in GNOME. Are there going to be upgrade procedures for KDE at some point?
As it is, getting the stuff for KDE requires a lot of guesswork, hopping around KDE-Apps and KDE-Look, and at times is impossible (color scheme...).

Yes, when mint 3 is released there will be instructions to upgrade both gnome and kde editions.
It may even be automated like u/kbuntu is, or use some similar scripted method.
