Customer Database Software?

Postby steve9199 on Wed Mar 18, 2009 1:35 pm

Hey gang-

I'm slowly but surely working some of my company's older "extra" PC's into Linux (insert evil chuckle here) and I'm looking for an open source customer database software to keep track of the copier service calls we do. Can someone recommend anything?

Thanks in advance-

Steve

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Actually I should have been more specific. I need a free-standing installation, and would prefer it to be a free application as well. I'm working with a "donor" computer and I've been given free reign with it....I've just not been given a budget...lol!!

I work for a copier service company and we just need a program to keep track of service histories and customer information. It doesn't have to be very fancy, just something that "works" (Kind of like Mint for instance....)

-Thanks again, Steve

Have a look at Glom a go. It is in the repositories. I've used it but only in an experimental way, because I have no real need for a database. It is simple to set up a database, or adapt one of the example ones given. If you want to have a look at the website, go to http://www.glom.org
