configure: error: The intltool scripts were not found.

Postby dudeislebowski on Sun Mar 29, 2009 8:39 pm

While trying to install Sound Converter from ~ > http://soundconverter.berlios.de/. I get an error while ./configure in the terminal in the correct directory. The reason why I am trying to compile this is because I cannot find a simple download and install anywhere. I am new to the Linux environment if you cannot tell. So try to explain it to me as easy as possible.

I am on Mint 6 32bit Felicia

Here is where I entered ./configure in the terminal and all off the output if it helps:

configure: error: The intltool scripts were not found. Please install intltool.

I cannot find this tool in the repositories in Mint or Ubuntu. Please tell me where I am going wrong or what I should download to fix this. Thanks to anyone who reads this, and a lot more thanks to anyone who comes up with a solution.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

I got the intltool installed now. And sorry I was in the software manager and not the package manager. A stoopid mistake, I did think there was one here. I used fedora 10 a little bit and just thought in mint that was all it showed you. I got it now. Thanks for the help.
