MonoDevelop 2.0

Postby MagicSpeller on Thu Apr 09, 2009 12:23 am

Hi, all.

Has anyone been able to successfully download and install MonoDevelop 2.0? I uninstalled version 1, installed apturl, went to <http://monodevelop.com/Download>, and clicked on "Install with APT" in the Ubuntu row. It appears to install successfully, but when I run the program, it says it's still version 1.0.

Did they post the wrong version, or am I doing something wrong?

Thanks!

apturl only installs from the repos you have in the sources.list.

I'm also in the process of learning about Mono C# and MonoDevelop.
After reading the Mono Docs and Mono && Ubuntu Forums, I went back to LM6 and used Synaptic to get the latest update a few days ago,
I'm now working on the Posgtres setup after install, to enable me to use the C# version of DotnetNuke .
using Postgres8.3 also from the repos, just havent had the time to set up the Database user access ect....

Using LM6 Main Ed
on Sony VAIO VGN-NR32M/s
only two problems experienced so far are
1. Wifi connx to my router, WPA doesnt appear to be effective, but can connect at work (using unencrypted access )
2. Inserting headphones doesnt disconnect speakers
Always a Pleasure Never a Chore
was using LM11 Main Ed - now LM12 Main Ed Gnome3 and LM14 KDE
Toshiba of some kind
Dual Core i think
8Gb RAM
HDD 650 Gb
DVD + RW
WLAN 802.11 b/g
