Can not find speaker volume in Linux Mint 6 KDE

Postby ario on Wed Apr 15, 2009 2:12 pm

Hi.
I've just installed linux mint 6 KDE. I can hear the login and logout sound clearly but all other sounds are muted. No sound during movie playback nor music.
I can't hear any sound from VLC Kaffein Totem&... just some notification sounds.
I've tried installing gstreamer, ffmpeg, lame and... . but no success.
The strongest thing is that I can not find the volume control. Maybe programmers of linux mint team forgotten to put a volume control in this reales:( I don't know which package should be installed to simply change the speaker volume!
Can you help me?
Thanks.

Linux Mint is funded by ads and donations.

Solved!
I clicked on kmix and then clicked on its system tray icon. clicked on mixer button on its form and then raised PCM volume to maximum. :)
Its now ROCK here!
